The opportunity
What if a veterinary journal could become an indispensable resource for veterinarians on the front lines of clinical practice? It would be a place where groundbreaking research meets practical application, emerging discoveries inform everyday decisions, and advances in medicine and surgery lead to better patient care.
That’s the opportunity awaiting the next editor in chief of the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association (JAAHA).
For more than four decades, JAAHA has published peer-reviewed research on canine and feline medicine and surgery. The journal is now entering a new era as longtime Editor in Chief Alan Rebar, DVM, PhD, DACVP, prepares to retire at the end of the year.
A new partnership between AAHA and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) will expand the journal’s clinical scope to additional species. It will also bring new expertise, perspectives, and opportunities to its pages. The next editor in chief will help guide this evolution, working with an expanded team of section editors whose expertise spans a broader range of veterinary medicine.
